Q-Flap NX
The Q-Flap NX is a passive isolation valve designed to prevent the propagation of deflagrations through ducts or pipelines. Built in accordance with NFPA 69, it provides dependable explosion isolation for both metal and organic dust applications, certified up to Class ST3.
Available in sizes up to DN 1000, the Q-Flap NX is ideal for standard horizontal installations and offers proven protection for dust collection and process equipment handling combustible materials.
Application
Suitable for processes requiring one-way explosion isolation under moderate dust loading conditions. The Q-Flap NX and NX II are commonly installed on dust collection systems, cyclones, mills, and similar equipment to prevent flame and pressure propagation through connected ductwork.
Mechanism
Designed with a flap that closes quickly in response to backpressure within the duct, as occurs during a deflagration. Once closed, the integrated locking mechanism secures the flap to prevent fluttering or flame passthrough, ensuring reliable isolation of connected equipment.
